چکیده
The hydraulic behavior of the flow can be changed by using large-scale geometric roughness elements in open channels. This change help controlling erosions and sedimentations along mainstream channel. Roughness large stone or concrete blocks placed at channel's bed to impose more resistance bed. geometry elements, numbers used, configuration are parameters that affect flow's characteristics. In this paper, velocity distribution flume was theoretically investigated a series tests T-shape fixed height, arranged three different configurations, differ number lines element. These were used find best applied ANSYS Parametric Design Language, APDL, Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD, simulate an channel with elements. CFD study hydrodynamics channels under conditions inclusive details rather than relying on costly field time-consuming. Runs implemented conditions, discharge, water depth upstream downstream flume. height equal 3cm two lines, four fully rough configurations tested. results show effect increasing Cases have almost same performance having decrease percentage, which is decreased approximately about 66% 61% control case's zone near consequently. But difference affected part test section. increases values 11% other side 10% free surface case increased 32% above configuration.
